Not-for-profit fair trade organisation Trade Aid has once again expanded its product range, this time to target the male consumer conscious of stylish details.

The organisation's new men's range includes leather goods, personal accessories and games, all handcrafted by fair trade craftsmen in developing countries.

These include silk ties made by disabled artisans in Cambodia, a nation known for its skilful silk weavers.

In 1991, Cambodian Handicraft Association (CHA) was established in Phnom Penh, in its workshops it helps disadvantaged workers learn the art of weaving.

The women who cut and sew the ties stay in a dormitory at CHA and save their wages to send to their families in rural areas all over Cambodia.

Trade Aid is a New Zealand-based non-profit organisation which supports disadvantaged producers to improve their lives through international trade.

The range can be seen at 30 Trade Aid stores nationally, or online at www.tradeaid.org.nz.
