Founder Dil Belworthy puts much of Glowing Sky’s success down to two main quality factors: New Zealand wool and New Zealand garment-manufacturing.
"We use South Island ZQ-certified fine and superfine merino wool for our fabrics," Dil explains. "Being South Islanders ourselves, we have a great love for our high country. We believe it produces the world’s best merino fabrics, and so we are very proud to use this local product for our clothing."
Dil is also passionate about manufacturing all Glowing Sky garments in their own Timaru factory.
"We have a fantastic team of New Zealanders turning out beautiful quality at a very high efficiency level. We love knowing we are making garments literally within view of the high country our wool is grown on, and increasingly we are finding New Zealand-based manufacturing is seen as a premium factor not just to Kiwi customers, but to our growing global market. Why would we ever take our manufacture elsewhere!”
