Although none of them beats the skins on Something To Tell You, the attention to pace, pulse and the various intersections of sound lends vitality and a few twists to soft-rock songs that could have otherwise floundered on a bedrock of trite lyricism ("I promise I will treat you right, babe ...").
Still, the vocal interplay here is top-shelf, from the relaxed disco crooning of You Never Knew to the staccato delivery on Little of Your Love, as these Valley girls offer a set akin to a DJ intent on an ’80s bender.
