Win family book hamper 2

The ODT has six Summer Times family book hampers to give away courtesy of our regular books page publishers. Each 10-book hamper, worth hundreds of dollars, has a mix of books for all ages and across various genres, ensuring there should be something for most members of the family to read this summer. HAMPER 2
Today's hamper contains top New Zealand fiction with the fantasy/horror novel Wake, by Elizabeth Knox (Victoria University Press), thrillers Police, by Jo Nesbo (Random House), and The Bourne Retribution, by Robert Ludlam and Eric van Lustbader (Hachette), and some homegrown high-country romance in Blackpeak Station, by Holly Ford (Random House).

Non-fiction reads are a look at a major New Zealand ceramicist in His Own Steam: The Work of Barry Brickell, by David Craig and Gregory O'Brien (Auckland University Press), an insight into royalty with Kate: The Future Queen, by Katie Nicholl (Weinstein Books and distributor Newsouth Books), and the fascinating story of the Led Zeppelin frontman in Robert Plant: A Life, by Paul Rees (HarperCollins).

For teens, there is the steampunk time-travel adventure Julius and the Watchmaker, by Tim Hehir (Text Publishing), and young children's picture books The Weather Machine, by Donovan Bixley (Hachette), and She'll Be Coming Round the Mountain, with pictures by Jenny Cooper plus a CD by the Topp Twins (Scholastic).
