Farmyard tale great for young children

Central Otago author Kyle Mewburn has come up trumps with this delightful tale of a poor chick who thinks it must be sick when it fails to lay an egg.

Sheep, duck, goose, cow and goat all have plenty of advice to offer which results in much clutching, squeezing, clenching and wheezing, but to no avail until a helpful hissing snake slithers along to assist.

The pen, ink and digital colour illustrations by Tauranga couple Ali Teo and John O'Reilly are bold, bright and simple and the animals easily identifiable, making it perfect for even very young children.
