What do you think about the Government making mask wearing mandatory on public transport as of Monday?
While the country is at alert level 2 and higher, the Government yesterday said it would making it compulsory for people travelling on buses, planes, trains, ferries and even Ubers throughout New Zealand to wear face masks to protect themselves and others.
The move comes after several people became unwell from a bus journey in Auckland and new research shows the benefits of people wearing face coverings.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern yesterday urged Aucklanders to wear face masks while they are out in public as she has been since the city moved into level 3 almost two weeks ago.
Auckland will remain in level 3 until midnight on Sunday when it moves to level 2 which allows schools and retailers to open but requires people to maintain social distancing.
The rest of the country will also remain at level 2 for a week.

Good grief, whatever next? Will they force us wear masks in our private vehicles or in our homes? This is the thin end of the wedge.
Some of us have been wearing them for months when in close proximity with others (who not in our bubble).
Well la de da for you, doesn't mean the rest of us should be forced to wear them.
