Probiotics business director to retire

Blis Technologies director Tony Balfour will not be seeking re-election to the NZX-listed Dunedin-based probiotics company.

A note to the market said Mr Balfour, who has been a director since 2020, was due to retire by rotation at the next annual shareholder meeting (ASM).

He had made an "outstanding contribution", bringing a wealth of international marketing and market development experience, chairman Geoff Plunket said.

His continued support through to the next ASM would be invaluable in assisting the board and management to deliver the new business-to-business-centric strategy, Mr Plunket said.

Last week, Blis announced a $1.2 million ebitda loss for the six months to September 30, while revenue increased 10%.
