A recent Facebook post said a meeting was held with community representative to try to find a solution.
Outram Hotel 1878 Ltd was registered with the Companies Office last week.
Its website listed Kent Duncan and Paul Rogers, both of Mosgiel, as directors and equal shareholders.
When contacted, they declined to comment.
