Privately owned Dunedin-founded financial adviser Highland Group is rebranding itself under the umbrella of nationwide financial services group Share next week.
Since 1999, Dunedin-based Highland has provided financial advice on investments and mortgages but has worked mainly in the insurance sector.
It will become the largest of Share's 17 nationwide offices, retaining its 13 staff.
Highland director Richard Thomas, who is also chairman of Share, said joining Share would increase the size and volume of work.
However, it was business as usual for the Dunedin company, which had no immediate plans to change.
• Under proposed changes to Government legislation, likely to be passed next year, all financial advisers will have to be registered individually, unless belonging to an approved body.
