They've done it again.

For the second consecutive year, Dream Hair in Mosgiel has won the national hair salon of the year title, and beauty salon of the year has been won by Mornington’s Skin and Beaute.

The 2021 Industry Awards, held at the weekend, recognised the best business, training and creative talent in New Zealand’s hair, beauty and barbering industries.

Krystle Anderson, owner of Dream Hair, who has been hairdressing since she was 15, also won top performing stylist of the year; while Sarah Manning, from Radiance Skin & Day Spa in Cromwell, was named beauty therapy apprentice of the year.

Dunedin’s Moha Hairdressing also enjoyed success. Hannah Culpan was first and second in the hot shot — new talent editorial stylist of the year, and Kylie Hayes was second and fourth in the Derek Elvy Visionary Award editorial stylist of the year.
