Silver Fern Farms chief executive Keith Cooper has been appointed to the boards of Meat and Wool New Zealand and the New Zealand Meat Board.
He is one of two industry representatives on the boards and replaces Alliance Group chairman Owen Poole, who resigned last year.
Mr Cooper has worked in the meat industry since 1980 and has been chief executive of Silver Fern Farms since early 2007. He is also on the boards of the Meat Industry Association, New Zealand Lamb Company North America, Farm Brands Ltd and Robotic Technologies.
