Chamber president Ali Copeman hopes the entry by ThankYou Payroll will be the first of many.
Ms Evans said ThankYou Payroll was a first-time entrant in the awards and had entered in the ethics category.
The company was a chamber member and a keen supporter of what the chamber was doing.
Also, the company was a social enterprise, following an ethical business model.
Entries close on August 14 and Mrs Copeman is urging Otago businesses to enter, so the region can celebrate the success of its enterprises.
