Appointments to Landcorp

DUNEDIN’S Desiree Mahy is one of two new appointments to the board of Landcorp Farming.

Ms Mahy is a lawyer, mediator and facilitator with substantial leadership and governance experience. In 2018, she was the winner of the Otago Southland branch of the Institute of Directors emerging director award.

Previously chief executive of the Malcam Charitable Trust and director of Māori Learner Services at Otago Polytechnic, she is now a senior adviser for Te Puni Kokori in Otago and a supervisor for the Ngāi Tahu Law Centre. She is also a director of Thankyou Payroll and Te Hou Ora Whānau Services.

Veterinarian Claire Nicholson, who is chief executive of Sirona Animal Health and sits on an advisory board at the University of Otago for the development of new animal health products, has also been appointed.
