Thirteen separate applications by Inland Revenue to place the companies of a North Island businessman in liquidation have been lodged with the High Court at Dunedin.
The companies' sole director is Lance Burt, of Otane, Hawkes Bay, whose registered office address for the 13 businesses is a Dunedin accounting firm.
Several of the companies, prefixed with Horowhenua, Waipawa, North Auckland, Kaitoke and Maymorn, are registered as Land Trust Ltd, plus four prefixed with Coromandel.
The others are Farm Machinery Ltd, Dairy Holdings Ltd, Dairy Trust Ltd and Land Holdings Ltd.
A solicitor for Inland Revenue was contacted and said all the office addresses for the companies were changed in January to the Dunedin address.
The multiple applications for liquidation are scheduled for May 25.
