Air New Zealand said its chief executive Rob Fyfe is not planning to leave the company within 18 months.
The Independent reported today that Mr Fyfe will step down within 18 months, citing well placed sources.
Air New Zealand said the speculation was incorrect.
"Rob has no intention to leave in the next 18 months and his tenure is open ended," the company said in response to a query.
