Lancome's rose-inspired skincare range

Lancome's founder Armand Petitjean was so enamoured by the purity and beauty of the rose that it inspired him to create a range of skin-care as a tribute to the flower.

In 1973, 'Lancome Rose' was launched with the help of one the greatest rose experts of all time, George Delbard.

Forty-four years on, the rose continues to be a source of inspiration for Lancome, with the brand recently releasing a new range of luxurious beauty products - Absolue Precious Cells.

I tried the Recovery Night Cream, here's my thoughts...

Like Armand, I have a deep adoration for the rose (only looking at them though, NOT actually looking after them!)

I even named one of my children after the flower, so the idea of smothering something rose-related all over my face each night was quite appealing.

The cream contains a whole bunch of good-for-your-skin active ingredients, including  Pro–Xylane™, which is deeply hydrating, but I won't bore you with all the rest!

All I can say is it's dreamy to use, smells like rose petals, and makes your skin feel supple and look positively radiant. Highly recommend.

RRP: $395
