Otago District Health Board managers will meet home support providers today to update them on plans to review housework support for some elderly.
The Otago and Southland district health boards will monitor rest-homes which may be struggling with lower occupancy rates, planning and funding regional general manager David Chrisp told the disability support advisory committee yesterday.

Some Southland District Health Board members yesterday criticised board communication over the proposed changes to services for the elderly, saying it had caused unnecessary anxiety.
