A pedestrian has been killed in an incident involving a motorcycle in Christchurch this evening.
Police said emergency services were notified of a crash at the intersection of Blenheim Rd and Foster St in Addington at 6:37pm.
In an update police confirmed a pedestrian had been killed.
Motorists were asked to avoid the area.
The Serious Crash Unit has been notified.
