Three face charges after shotgun fired at house

Three people will face charges after a man fired a shotgun at a neighbour's house in the Bay of Plenty last night.

Police armed offenders squad members were called out about 9.25pm to an address at Pukehina Beach Rd, Pukehina, about 20km east of Te Puke, where a man was reported to have fired a shotgun at a neighbour's house.

The alleged offender had returned to his home and fired more shots before police arrived.

Police arrested three people "without incident or injury" about 3.30am, Sergeant Chris Summerville of Tauranga police said.

One man will face a firearms charge, while the others will face obstruction charges.

More charges were likely to be laid, Mr Summerville said.
