The Rt Rev Dr David Coles, the Anglican vicar of Wakatipu, is inviting the public to a fun family day at the annual market day, to be held in the grounds of St Peter's Church.

Visitors will find stands selling second-hand books, magazines, DVDs and CDs along with homemade baking and jams, plants, accessories, toys, Christmas gifts and "elegant junk".

The Arrow Miners' Band will entertain along with local musician Mark Wilson, while face painting should keep the children fascinated.

A sausage sizzle plus Devonshire tea and coffee will also be on offer.

A highlight should be the auction at 11.30am.

Dr Coles said the proceeds from the market day would go towards general parish purposes, which include the church's work for children and the elderly in the community.

St Peter's Anglican Church market day will be held at the church grounds, at the corner of Church and Camp Sts, on Saturday, November 28, from 9am until noon.
