The final of the Highlanders First XV competition will be played in Invercargill on Friday night.
Southland Boys will take on Waitaki Boys in the curtain-raiser to the Air New Zealand Cup game between Hawkes Bay and Southland.
The final will kick-off at 5pm at Rugby Park Stadium.
If scores are tied at full-time, two periods of 10 minutes of extra time will be played.
If the match is still tied after the two periods of extra time, the team which scored the most tries in the game will be declared the winner.
Should the try tally be the same, Southland Boys will be declared the winner, having finished above Waitaki Boys in the round-robin.
Southland Boys qualified for the final, and as the host, after kicking a last-minute penalty in a 24-18 loss to Otago Boys on Saturday.
Waitaki Boys qualified for the final by easily beating South Otago in Balclutha on Friday.
Both teams finished on 10 points but Southland Boys will host the final after finishing above Waitaki Boys in the round-robin.
Dunstan will play Gore in Alexandra in the final of the middle four while Central Southland will play John McGlashan in Winton in the final of the bottom four.
Both of these games will be played on Saturday.
