A 24-year-old man has died after a fight at a Christchurch house overnight.
Police were called to the Bishopdale house about 12.45am, finding the man in a critical condition, a police spokesman said.
Ambulance staff were unable to keep him alive and he died at the scene.
Police were treating the death as suspicious and were speaking to people who were at the house.
