Palmerston visitors shown the way

A Palmerston visitors' map was launched by promotion group Palmerston Gateway to Gold last week. The map, a double-sided A3 sheet, lists visitor attractions in the Palmerston and Waihemo area.

It had a print run of 5000, Palmerston Gateway to Gold trustee and Waitaki District Councillor Kathy Dennison said.

Businesses in the area had advertised on the map and the Waitaki Development Board also paid $1500 towards the cost, Mrs Dennison said.

The map will be available from businesses in Palmerston.

Twenty-four business people attended the launch of the map at a wine and cheese evening in the town.
