Ticket sales for tomorrow night's part two of the Middlemarch Sub Zero Festival of Lights have picked up, but they could still be better, organisers say.
As of yesterday, 45 people had booked for the second event, organised to raise funds for the township's dilapidated community centre, organiser Lorna Williams said.
Those attending would be transported from Dunedin to Middlemarch on the Taieri Gorge Railway, leaving the city at 3pm, and treated to a Christmas light display on railway sidings and houses before tucking into a meal and enjoying some entertainment.
The train would be back in Dunedin by 10pm.
The event last weekend was altered because of low ticket sales and opened up to the community, who had a "fantastic night".
Tickets to tomorrow's event will be available until tomorrow morning.
