Dunedin butcher and smallgoods manufacturer, Fishers Meats Ltd, continues to trade and its eventual fate should be known in the next month or so.
Malcolm Hollis, a partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers which was appointed receiver in late March, said expressions of interest from potential buyers were due late yesterday, but he would not be releasing any details.
The 90-year-old business employed 24 staff and Mr Hollis said it had the support of staff, banks and suppliers which allowed it to continue trading, although not as strongly as he would have liked.
The deadline for non-binding indicative bids from potential buyers was last night.
