Police are investigating a suspicious early morning car fire in Mosgiel and one in Tahuna Park.
Fire Service Southern communications shift manager Andrew Norris said police were following up on Mosgiel incident, which happened in Dukes Rd about 2.55am today.
Firefighters arrived to find a station wagon ablaze, Mr Norris said.
"The fire was visible up on the hill. When the crew got up there, they discovered a car on fire.''
Meanwhile, police are treating a car fire at Tahuna Park on Saturday evening as suspicious and want the public's help in finding the people thought to have set it alight.
The car was found burning about 11pm and the fire was extinguished by St Kilda and Dunedin firefighters, Fire Service Southern communications shift manager Lyn Crosson said.
Police said the scorched car was a silver 1988 Mazda 626.
They were keen to speak to anyone who saw the car in the St Kilda area before the fire, or anyone "acting suspiciously'' about the time of the fire.
Police have not yet commented on whether the fires were linked.
