A Wellington bank was robbed in broad daylight at lunchtime today.
Police are investigating the "aggravated robbery" of a bank on Jackson St, Petone, about midday.
A police statement does not name the bank but says officers are looking for a stockily built man of Maori or Pacific descent.
He was wearing a light-coloured top, dark pants and a black beanie and had a bag slung over his shoulder.
The man left the bank and walked east along Jackson St, Petone's main street.
