Three weeks' work is a labour of love for Bev and Les Pickworth, whose Pukeuri home has again won the general category of the Christmas lights decoration competition.

Thousands of people visit their house and garden to see the thousands of lights and decorations.

Five times they have won the "Light Up Your Home" competition run by Classic Hits 98.4FM Waitaki.

A total of 17 homes were entered.

The new entrants' category was won by Daniel Martin at 17 Clyde St.

Mr and Mrs Pickworth, aged 73 and 65 years respectively, are semi-retired and returned from working in Central Otago vineyards to decorate their home this year.
