The female driver of a Toyota Cavalier car, similar to this one, is being sought by police after a crash at the intersection on Thames Hwy and Stirling St last month.
Community Constable Bruce Dow said about 2.47pm on September 23, the bright aqua metallic coloured Cavalier struck a blue Mazda Demio, causing moderate damage to the left side of the Mazda which was being driven by a British tourist.
The Toyota, which sustained right-front damage, was driven by a female with long, light coloured hair, who drove off at speed.
Const Dow said information could be phoned to the Oamaru Police Station on (03) 433-1400.
