Things looking up for curious young pupils

Ten Stirling school pupils were in the good books yesterday.Joan Hasler and Don Waugh, from the Rotary Club of Balclutha, delivered copies of the Usborne Illustrated English Dictionary for 10 year 4 and 5 pupils at 20-pupil Stirling Primary School yesterday.

For the seventh year, the Balclutha club has given the books to pupils in South Otago schools.

The 37-member club raised funds for the 240 books distributed this winter from its April second-hand book sale, its Christmas raffle and fertiliser delivery.
