Some Dunedin schoolchildren were out on the safari hunt yesterday, all to help them be better at sport.
Sport Otago held a safari-themed fundamental movement skills challenge day at Forsyth Barr Stadium yesterday with more than 300 pupils from various Dunedin schools enjoying their time under the roof.
The skills are seen as the building blocks to help children participate successfully in all types of games, physical activities and sports.
The skills are broken down into three categories: stability, locomotor and manipulative.
All up, the pupils did nine different challenges.
