Central Christchurch is a hive of deconstruction and reconstruction activity as it recovers from the deadly February 2011 earthquake. Aside from a few tourists, however, it is strangely devoid of people. One local described the city as a doughnut, empty in the middle but vibrant in the surrounding malls and suburbs. Stephen Jaquiery took his camera for a walk in the central city.
