DCC recovery centre
The council recovery centre in South Dunedin will re-open again today from 10am until 4pm.
The centre is located in the St James Presbyterian Church Hall at 393 King Edward Street, and welfare and DCC staff will be available if you need advice or assistance.
Rubbish skips
The DCC has increased the number of contractors servicing those skips today so they will be emptied with increased frequency as we're aware they are filling up quickly.
The skips are located at: Hargest Crescent (1), Surrey Street (2), Macandrew Road (2), Bayview Road (2), Baker Street (Caversham) by the church (1), on the corner of Queens Drive and Begg Street (1), Ocean View Recreational Reserve (1) and also in Mosgiel at Kinmont Crescent (1)
Dunedin road closures
As of 5.46am today the following roads were closed:
Upper Junction Rd - from Mt Cargill Rd to Brick Hill Rd.
Henley Rd.
Highcliff Rd - from Camp Rd To Portobello.
Queens Dr - from Chamberlain St to Como St.
Riccarton Rd - SH87 to Tirohanga Rd.
Waitati Valley Rd - Ford at RP6800 to end.
Gladfield Rd - Bush Rd to Dukes Rd.
