The Otago Rugby Football Union has stepped in to clarify changes to secondary school rugby.
The union says coaches must meet and discuss ways to prevent mismatches when the score blows out.
Earlier in the week, the rugby secondary schools council had wanted to make changes to the game to lessen score blowouts.
But the union said the council went too far as they changed the laws of the game.
Coaches would have to meet and discuss ways to change the game to make it more even. The laws of the game can not be changed.
