New Zealand will have five matches to prepare for the Fifa Under-20 World Cup on home soil.
The Junior All Whites will headline the Five Nations series in Auckland before the tournament kicks off on May 30.
They will be joined by fellow Under-20 World Cup competitors Panama, Qatar and Ghana, as well as Australia, for the series, which starts on May 3 with a transtasman clash at QBE Stadium.
New Zealand will then play Panama (May 7, Auckland) and Qatar (May 10, Hamilton).
Once the Five Nations is complete, New Zealand will complete its preparation for the tournament opener with matches against Honduras (in Warkworth) and Austria (venue to be confirmed) on May 21 and 24 respectively.
Junior All Whites coach Darren Bazeley was excited to get confirmation of five games to prepare for the Under-20 World Cup opener against Ukraine.
''These games will be invaluable for the team on and off the pitch, as we put the finishing touches on our preparation,'' Bazeley said.
''We will be tested by strong opposition on the eve of the tournament and it gives us a chance to see our players in action shortly before we have to name our final squad for the World Cup.''
New Zealand Football high performance director Fred de Jong was also pleased to lock in the pre-tournament schedule.
''At every step of the way since we secured the Fifa Under-20 World Cup we have aimed to ensure the team have had the best possible preparation,'' de Jong said.
''These matches, at this time, are the latest examples of that approach and they give Darren and the group the best possible lead-in to the tournament.
''It also gives us a chance to showcase the team to the New Zealand public and build the momentum of local support behind our team on the eve of the event.''
Tournament boss Dave Beeche said ticket sales for the Under-20 World Cup had gone past the 100,000 mark and the pre-cup games would boost interest in the event.
