Police are looking for a man who ''king hit'' an Australian tourist in Queenstown early yesterday.
Sergeant Keith Newell, of Queenstown, said the alleged assault occurred about 3.45am after the 25-year-old victim had been refused entry to the Vinyl Underground bar because he was intoxicated.
After arguing with door staff, the man crossed the road where he was ''king hit'' by another man.
The victim, who suffered bruising to his face, nose and eyes, did not know his assailant, Sgt Newell said.
