Mind you, it does sound like something went wrong in a science laboratory, or out in the field, and the implications include pursuit by zombies, encountering a foam dumper and entering a decontamination unit and a big water slide.
The Dunedin school hosted its second Zombie Fun Run on Saturday, featuring year 7 and 8 pupils as zombies.
The number of tickets sold for the fundraising event indicated an attendance of more than 200 people.
School board of trustees member and "zombie queen" Disa Walker described the fun run as an immersive experience.
Children could choose to what extent they participated in the event.
"It’s not about being scared," Mrs Walker said.
"It’s about feeling fear and deciding what you’re prepared to try, basically."
She was pleased to report there were no injuries.
The fundraising is for playground maintenance and improvements, including making a sand pit.
