Arrest after man seen with knife

    Police arrest a man in Cumberland St after he was seen walking down the road wielding a kitchen knife.

    About eight police cars could be seen outside the Total Food Equipment store.

    A police spokeswoman said they received a report of the man shoplifting about 3.15pm yesterday. It was understood the shoplifted item was a knife from the Total Food Equipment store.

    The spokeswoman said the man was located and was arrested. Charges against the man had not yet been determined by police, she said.
