Stacey Jefferies might be in trouble with husband Scot again this morning.
Last year, she surprised him with her naked body painted as Wonder Woman on the front page of the ODT on January 15, two days before she had her left breast removed.
This year, to mark the anniversary of her mastectomy, the mother-of-two, aged in her early 40s, flashed her remaining bits at the
Cardrona bra fence.
Her husband, she said, warned her he did not want to see that photo in the paper - and he appears to have got lucky this time.
Speaking from her Waldronville home yesterday, Mrs Jefferies said she knew she was not special as many people were going through the same things, but she had been astounded by the number of young women with cancer she had met since she began treatment and was considering starting a support group.
She wanted to make sure people were getting the message to get any changes in their breasts checked - hers was a flat hard area, while other people just developed a new dimple - and felt there was nothing wrong with being a bit extroverted to make sure the message was received.
It had been a tough year for her and her family, including sons Cole (7) and Ryder (5), who had ''kept it real'', but she was ''lucky'' she had not felt too ill during treatment and achieved her goal of being well enough to be there for Ryder's first day of school last August.
''It's never far from your mind, but you just carry on with life; you don't let it control you.''
Although she did not mind the odd bit of public nudity for a cause, she had not enjoyed losing her hair because of chemotherapy, her current medication was making her brain ''foggy'' and her scar was tender.
''But I'll show anybody that wants to see my scar, because it helps people to understand. I want people to know the reality of it.''
