An Oamaru teenager driving a ute early yesterday with six passengers in the vehicle's tray recorded a breath-alcohol level of 794mcg, police say.
Sergeant Blair Wilkinson said the 19-year-old woman was stopped by police in Weaver St about 2am.
She will appear in the Oamaru District Court charged with drink-driving and dangerous driving.
Police also reported catching the first driver in Oamaru to record a breath-alcohol level of between 250mcg and 400mcg.
The driver was fined $200 and given 50 demerit points.
The Alexandra-based rural drink-drive team was in Oamaru at the weekend, setting up a checkpoint outside the Oamaru Racecourse on Saturday.
