Two Dunedin teenagers appeared in court on Saturday charged with aggravated robbery following the robbery of the Mornington Night 'N Day Foodstore on Friday night.
A 16-year-old youth appeared in the Youth Court on Saturday and was remanded into the care of Child, Youth and Family.
A 17-year-old youth appeared in the Dunedin District Court and was remanded in custody until today.
- Dunedin police said on Saturday two males allegedly presented a knife at the Mornington store's two male shop assistants and took 29 packets of tobacco, $885 cash, four bottles of cider and five chocolate fish.
Police cordoned off the area, and a police dog team tracked the alleged offenders towards Jubilee Park, Sergeant Ed Baker said.
Stolen property and knives believed to have been used in the incident were recovered by police.
- Police were yesterday still looking for the man who who made off with a ‘‘moderate sum'' of money from the Bank of New Zealand Mosgiel branch on Friday.
The man, who was caught on security cameras, walked into the bank on the corner of Gordon Rd and Glasgow St about 9.40am and was last seen running down Glasgow St towards Duke Rd.
