Futsal South had a reasonably successful weekend at the national tournament in Wellington over the weekend.
The side thumped Hawkes Bay 10-4 before losing 5-2 to Mainland on the first day.
On the second day, the side lost narrowly 4-3 to Auckland before beating Manawatu 7-3.
In its final game of the weekend, Futsal South walloped Waikato 6-1.
It sits third on the table, on 60 points, 11 points behind leader Mainland.
Capital is second on 23 points.
Futsal South attacker Carlos Herrmann is two off being the the leading goal-scorer in the league, having banged in 10 goals so far.
The final series of games will be in Auckland next month.
