Cabaret director Ainara Varela said 13 women had been rehearsing for the past four months for the show, which would be held at Revolver on Thursday and Friday nights.
"I've done it before in the United Kingdom and it worked well," Ms Varela said.
"I worked in a dance academy and I had a bunch of dancers dying to perform.
"I thought we needed to get Queenstown people dancing and coming to a show where there are locals performing . . . it's going to look good," she said.
Ms Varela said the performers were from all over the world, with New Zealanders, Japanese, Spanish, Czech Republic, Chilean, Scottish and English residents involved.
It had been a huge job to organise, with Ms Varela buying most of the costumes herself, but seasoned Queenstown performer Margaret O'Hanlon had been "incredible" with her support, Ms Varela said.
The show, which runs for about 90min and includes excerpts from the hit stage shows Chicago and Cabaret, would also feature Queenstown performer Anita Haira, who was "just beautiful", Ms Varela said.
The audience would be able to purchase drinks on arrival - with the possibility a special Chicago Cocktail would also be on offer - and take a seat to enjoy the entertainment.
Tickets for the performances are available from Play It Again, Queenstown Gym or as door sales.
Tickets for tomorrow night's show, beginning at 8pm, cost $15 and tickets for the 9pm Friday show are $20.
