Sailors took to Otago Harbour yesterday as the summer yachting season swung into sail.

"That makes it a bit more of a special event," he said.
Vauxhall Yacht Club commodore Robert English said the weather provided challenges but windows of sun made for good sailing.
The club combined with members of the Otago Yacht Club for an opening day regatta.
The opening day was initially delayed on two consecutive occasions due to poor weather.
