Cardrona recorded more than 20cm of snow in 24 hours, while Treble Cone had more than 30cm.
Over the hill in the Queenstown area, The Remarkables field received 43cm of new snow over 72 hours, while Coronet Peak had 22cm in 24 hours.
Coronet Peak assistant ski area manager Christine Law said it was great to get the new snow.
"We're stoked to have some fresh snow on the mountain which sets us up really well for some great spring skiing over the next few weeks," she said.
Skifield operators will be hoping the snow hangs around for the school holidays at the end of the month.
The weather forecast was promising for more snow for the mountains, starting late tomorrow and continuing through the weekend.
The snow has affected roads however, with Crown Range Rd closed overnight and chains needed on the route Wednesday morning.
