Scottish shearer Una Cameron, 51, has set a new world record, smashing the one Sacha Bond set in a Southland woolshed six months ago.

Cameron set a solo women’s nine-hour strong wool record by shearing 517 ewes at Trefranck Farm in Cornwall last week.

Bond set the former world record by shearing 458 ewes near Mossburn on February.
