Played at the Gore Town and Country Club and Gore and Districts Memorial RSA, the tournament attracted players and spectators from throughout the South Island.
The final of the three-day tournament was played on Saturday at the town and country club.
Tournament convener Kerry Rusk said it was a great atmosphere for a final.
It was competed by pairs Brent Jones and Rob Redgrove from Hornby and Gore RSA’s Danny Ryan and Ian Muir.
Jones and Redgrove won 3-1.
"It went well. It was a large crowd watching."
Jones and Redgrove had won the tournament for the past three years, he said.
The tournament attracted 32 entries.
Four players at the tournament were ranked in the top 10 of the New Zealand Billiards and Snooker Association rankings.
"[It was] really competitive," Rusk said.
"As a whole it was excellent.
"There was not one complaint about the tournament from the players."
The winning pair won a $1000 prize.
"I really want to thank the supporters that we had there, but I’d also like to very much thank the sponsors that we had."
The major tournament sponsor was Mitre 10, along with other local organisations including the Mataura Licensing Trust.
