Thousands of dollars worth of gear -including tools, golf equipment and even ice cream - was taken in a residential burglary this week.
Police are investigating the burglary of a home in Valpy St, St Clair, on Wednesday night, Sergeant Steve Aitken, of Dunedin, said.
Entry was gained through a garage, with the burglars making off with ''thousands of dollars'' worth of gear, he said.
Several tools were taken, including a framing gun, pin gun, hammer drill, circular saw, router, and a drill box.
Golf clubs and a golf bag were also taken.
Food was taken from the freezer, including three lamb roasts and ice cream.
