Emily Jensen (left) and Fiona Watt, both 11, help celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival at Lan Yuan, Dunedin Chinese Garden, on Saturday evening by carrying lanterns to illuminate the garden’s pond.

The event, commemorating the life of historic poet Qu Yuan, also involved activities such as crafting miniature dragon boats.

Enjoying the outdoor screening of Raya and the Last Dragon on Saturday are (below, from left) Gwen Slote, Alana Hougton, 7, Awa Kite-Bell, 2, and Madi Gyde.
