Work continues on building the South Dunedin library and community centre in King Edward St.

Initial work is being carried out for Positive Property Ltd.

The Dunedin City Council will take over once the shell of a two-storeyed building has been constructed and will then complete the fit-out.

The works are happening at the former Wolfenden and Russell clothing shop site, which was damaged extensively by fire in 2020.

The library and community complex is expected to open next year.
